Honorable William H. Morris draws on his own experience as both a successful international businessman and former Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce to assist clients of Global Associates.  Clients benefit from his personal experience in the federal government as well as his long-standing relationships with foreign officials and U.S. policy-makers.

In January, 2000, Mr. Morris was named Vice-Chairman of the Tennessee Science and Technology Council, and a member of the board of directors of the Tennessee Technology Development Corporation.

G. Robert Morris serves as President and CEO of Global Associates, and is also a member in the law firm of Butler, Snow, O'Mara, Canada & Stevens, PLLC.  Prior to joining Butler Snow in January 2001, Bob was a member of the law firm of Garrison, Morris, Haight, and Morrow, PLLC which was organized in February 1999 to focus primarily in the areas of Intellectual Property, Technology and International Business.  Prior to February 1999, Mr. Morris and his partners were with a regional law firm located in Memphis, Tennessee. From 1984 to 1990, Mr. Morris focused on public and private securities offerings both as underwriter’s and company counsel and general corporate representation.

Richard S. Copeland serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Global Associates. Since 1999 he has been active in raising funds for venture capital funds. Prior to 1999 he served as the Chief Operating Manger of a behavioral treatment facility and as the President of an insurance holding company. From 1990 to 1995 he was a member of a Memphis law firm. For fifteen years, he served in various positions with the government of Shelby County, Tennessee.

Wayne Culbreth serves as Managing Director for Global Consulting, a subsidiary of Global Associates.  After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1993 with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Wayne served as an M1A1 Tank Platoon Leader in the 3rd Bn 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, TX.   He has held several executive management level positions with several start up companies including CEO of Mission Logistics, Inc. and CIO for Astor Online, LLC.  In 1997, Wayne joined HCA Healthcare in Nashville, TN and served as Manager in the Information Systems Audit department.  Prior to joining Global Associates, Wayne was Managing Partner at investment bank Siliconbluffs, LLC in Memphis, TN.  He is currently Executive Officer of M Company 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, TN Army National Guard.

J. Peter Strömberg serves as Managing Director for Europe for Global Associates where he is in charge of Global's European operations. Mr. Strömberg is also a senior consultant with the Swedish organization Acando. In this capacity, Mr. Strömberg is dealing with strategic planning for corporations which want to take advantage of the opportunities presented by e-commerce and the internet.

Daniel W. Walker, CPA, serves as Global Associates' Managing Director - Tax. Mr. Walker is also member - in - charge of the international tax practice of Thompson Dunavant, PLC, a full-service accounting and consulting firm located in Memphis, Tennessee. Prior to joining that firm, Mr. Walker was a manager in the international tax practice of Price Waterhouse, LLP where he focused on providing international planning solutions for multinational corporations.

Oscar Brock graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Economics. Since then he's been involved in Venture Capital consulting and Investment Banking, the restaurant business, and commercial and residential real estate development. He is a member of the Chattanooga Rotary Club, and serves on the boards of the Chattanooga Jaycee Foundation, the Mental Health Housing Corporation, and the Hand Foundation. He is a past president of the Chattanooga Jaycees, and has been active in local, state, and national Republican politics since 1986.

Donald K. "Deke" Sundquist is a partner in Signal Financial, a financial advisory firm based in Nashville, Tennessee. From 1995 until 1998, Mr. Sundquist served as Executive Vice President of Vestmark, Inc., a privately-held venture capital firm with investments focused in the printing and publishing industries. 


William M. Wilson is a native of Nashville, Tennessee and has served as the president of Cherokee Equity Corporation, a private management company, since 1984. In addition, Mr. Wilson serves as the president of Cherokee Properties, Inc., a private real estate holding company. Prior to 1984, Mr. Wilson worked in the banking and insurance industries.

Robert L. Klein brings more than 25 years of international business experience to Global Associates. As a consultant to US and foreign-based companies and governments, Mr. Klein has established himself as a “niche” consultant specializing in industrial development, market development, site selection and strategic planning. 

Charles Warner began his career in the investment banking and brokerage industry. He was trained as a security analyst and a Registered Representative of the New York Stock Exchange. After six years as a Registered Representative, he was elected General Partner of a member firm and an Allied Member of the Exchange with responsibilities for sales and syndication. Remaining within the financial services industry, he served as CEO of a venture capital company with diversified interests in technology investments and industrial properties.

J. Stuart Keller heads up our Western U.S. office in Phoenix Arizona. Mr. Keller brings over 25 years of business development, operations and corporate management, and technology exploitation experience to the Global team. Mr. Keller’s operational, manufacturing and financial expertise is utilized in developing and executing our client’s business and operational plans.


Steve Lee serves as Global’s senior consultant for Southeast Asia and China. Headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, he has represented the Louisiana Department of Economic Development since 1990. Mr. Lee’s major responsibilities are to recruit investments into Louisiana and promote increased trade between Asia and the United States.

Harry Ramfelt is a senior consultant with Global Associates in charge of the Stockholm office. In this capacity, he has advised many of the top industrial groups in Sweden, including six of the largest banks. Mr. Ramfelt’s client list in Sweden includes the following: Volvo, Atlas Copco, Ford, General Motors, SE-Bank, Nordbanken, Sparbanken, PostGiro Bank, Cabanco Finansutveckling, EuroGaranti, Sical AB and the Swedish Union of Medical Doctors. Recently, Mr. Ramfelt has been hired as a senior consultant for various bilateral and multilateral foreign aid related projects relating to the restructuring of the financial sector in Central and Eastern Europe.

Jun Okawa, our Senior Consultant for Japan, was a career official with the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) for over 13 years, serving in such areas as US-Japan trade, energy, industrial structure, finance for medium-sized companies and technology promotion. At MITI he formulated industrial policy, conducted negotiations with government and industry representatives of the United States, and took an active role in Japan’s legislative process.
